You can get a free link back to your blog/site with a review (100-200 words) if you are a top commentator at the end of the month! We are doing this to get more activity around the blog and create a community. More backlinks are always good for your rankings as you probably know.
Never stop building links
One thing some webmasters forget after the starting up period is over of their site is keep on building links. This is very important because competition will beat you if you stop building links! Your site will get deeper and deeper in Google and giving your site less traffic! We all know less traffic is less money!

Sounds like a plan.
Very true about the linking. As soon as I started to building links on my site, amount of indexed pages started to decrease. Less indexed pages - less traffic in my case.

Sorry, I meant stopped.
It did do up and up. Then I started to work more then I do now and stopped building links. The amount of indexed pages was way high. Then, it became less and less and almost nothing now.

Try to do it a short period a week, if you don’t have the time!

You know, it’s not a fun task to do all the time.
You get tired of it. However, I think I found a way, just stopping by blogs and forums and make a post on something interesting. I think that should help from decreasing number of indexed pages.
I think that google knows that if there are no new links, it would mean that the site is not growing or something and even though you already have a good amount of inbound links, it still decreases the pages. :-/
