Starting New Sites

Lately I didn’t creat many new sites. It also has to do with my internship from school, not much time left to create new sites! Recently I started a new webmaster forum, it has over 500 posts now but not much activity at the moment! Have to make a schedule for everyday to post on it, so it can become a nice place to hang out for webmasters!

Also getting back into the adsense scene! Lately I sold one of my adsense site that I had together with a partner, brought in around $ 150 monthly on adsense. Can’t tell you guys more details on the sale, sorry for that! But getting back into it and I want to create 20 sites that generate money on adsense! Having the first one ready now, all with unique content! It is a dutch site though, about mortgages (hypotheken). 80% of my 20 sites goal will be in English though.

Also started a simple web directory again, just for creating some value and hope to be able to sell it for a few hundred in time! It is Sync Directory which had a pagerank 1 but is currently at 0 again.

Am going to update this blog more often to from now on! Stay tuned and subscribe to my feed if you want to stay up to date on my websites!

Starting a new Webmaster Forum

You see it right, I am starting a new webmaster forum again! Why am I doing this? Because I really like communities and I know what it takes to create a succesful forum now! Did it in the past and it was my most succesful site ever (in money terms). Now, almost 6 months after the sale I decided to create a new forum again and hope to get the same succes as I had in the past!

As you can see there is not much activity yet, because it is started only 2 days ago! The forum will also have a unique directory and later on will offer products for sale (that’s why it has the name perfectoffer.com).

If you are bored, or want to join a nice place to hangout and chat with other webmasters, you should join the community :) Just keep an eye on it and I will update you guys here on how the progress goes!

Key Ingredients for Survival in Online Business

This is a basic list of key things that are critical to having a successful online business. This article is more for the person who is new to online business rather than the seasoned professional.

1. Design

I really can’t stress enough how important a professional-looking design is for attracting sales. Quite frankly, many people will just not trust a site that is poorly designed. You want your customers to feel that every aspect of your business is taken seriously so they can feel secure and confident that you will not rip them off. Presenting your business in a sloppy or ugly manner is just not the way to build that confidence.

2. Usability

This ties right in with design. Make sure the design of your site allows for easy navigation for your customers and makes the process of checking out as hassle-free as possible. Make sure that they can find anything that they would be looking for easily. Remember that your competition is just a few clicks away, and they can just as easily go elsewhere.

3. Marketing

Obviously marketing is of tremendous importance, perhaps even more so on the Internet, than in the physical world. Unlike a brick and mortar store, where it is easy for people to drive/walk by and see you, you cannot stand out on the Internet without a great deal of effort.

Thankfully, there are many ways to help you get found like search engine marketing, social media marketing, email advertising, PPC, banner ad campaigns, etc. The more Internet marketing methods you utilize, the greater chance you have of being discovered by potential customers. Just make sure your site is presentable when they get there.

4. Reputation

As many others and I have discussed repeatedly, it is important to manage your online reputation to the best of your ability. Search for yourself on search engines, and be careful of what information you put out there about yourself. This includes social media sites, blog comments, forum posts, and anything else your name may be attached to. It is also good to find out what others are saying about you, and to do your best to counter any negativity by any means necessary.

5. Price

Just as your lack of usability can drive customers to your competition (which is again, only a few clicks away), so can your lack of competitive pricing.

It’s one thing if you are offering your goods/services at the same price as everyone else, but if they are higher, most customers will just as soon go elsewhere than pay more to go with you unless you truly offer something extra that they’re interested in.

You will do well to remember the above five points when starting an online business. Just because you finally have a website, does not mean that you will automatically get those online sales.

Make Money, No Excuses

This was something I was doing for the last 2-4 weeks. Making up excuses why I was not making any decent money and was not working on my sites. Currently the money that is made on the net is at a low point and I was making excuses for it. Why am I not making money? Because I don’t work at my websites! This is the only excuse that is true!

That made me decide to get a new theme for new energy! Recently I also bought a fairly large xbox 360 forum which is not monetized at all (yet). This forum is good but does not have many good search engine rankings nor traffic. It needs more backlinks (relevant links), that is why I bought a halo 3 blog! It was up for sale for a very cheap price, holding a pagerank 3 and currently making $10 a month on adsense. I will update this blog like 5 times a month and link to sections at the xbox forum.

But for now: no more excuses for me!

Forex, Stocks, Shares, Funds – Game Over

Over the past year I got into trading stocks, holding mutual funds and I even started forex this week. As you can see on the title I am quitting all this trading as of today! I am losing money on this! Better invest my money into the web business than taking it into the stock market or any other form of trading.

Yesterday I put in $300 on the Euro to rise against the Dollar. Euro made a huge fall in value and it was at its lowest point in the last 30 days, so I expected to go back up! Left it run for the night and when I woke up, everything was closed due to stop loss (that means I lost all). This made me decide I would leave this market alone for a long time!

At least it was a nice experience!

Flipped a site – Started a new one

Today we sold our technology forum which we had for around 1 month now. It was bought for $150 and flipped for $350. We also bought a unique design for $30 and installed it on the forum, so that makes our total costs at $180, which is almost a ROI of 100%!

We also started a new site today, it is a gadget blog and will be posted on once a day! We will review laptops, cameras, desktops, iphones and all other cool gadgets everyone wants to have! This website will also be monetized with affiliates which we will discuss here ofcourse! Currently it only runs some adsense ads which I am not a fan of, but what the hell
